Q: What is Buxter?

Buxter is an application you can use inside Facebook which allows you to send money to/receive money from your Facebook friends, make purchases at Facebook, and manage your revenues from your Facebook applications.

Is Buxter secure?

Buxter provides you with a secure way to send and receive money inside Facebook. Your payments details will only be stored in your ClickandBuy account and will not be shared with Facebook. To add to your security yourself, we urge you to select a dedicated password for your Buxter wallet.

Do I need a ClickandBuy account to use Buxter?

No, you don’t need a ClickandBuy account if you want to receive or request money from your friends and generate revenue through your own Facebook applications. However, to deposit money or to withdraw money from your Buxter account, you need to connect your Buxter account to your ClickandBuy account.

What is an Easy Collect authorization?

Once you have linked your Buxter account to a ClickandBuy account, you will be asked to give an Easy Collect Authorization. This will allow you to deposit money into and withdraw money from your Buxter account without having to enter your ClickandBuy username and password. You can withdraw this authorization at any time by clicking the delete button “X”.

Send and Request Money

Why can't I send money to a friend?

In order to send money to a friend, you need to have enough money in the chosen currency in your Buxter account. Please also note that you cannot send money if your Buxter account is blocked. If you have enough funds and your account is not blocked, please contact us, remembering to add an e-mail address to get a reply.

Why can't I request money from a friend?

You can only request money from a friend if your Buxter account is active. Please contact us to resolve this issue.

Why is my transaction pending?

After you send a money request, your friend can decide to either accept or decline it. During this period the status of your transaction will be "pending" and you will still be able to cancel the request. After one day a pending request will expire.

Why has my transaction expired?

If after one day your money request has not been either accepted nor declined, it will expire. You can resubmit a request at any time. Please note that limits apply to the number and money amount of requests you send.

Why was my transaction declined?

When you send a money request, your friend can decide either to accept it, and thus send you the money, or decline it. In the latter case the transaction will have the status "declined".

I already have money in my Buxter account, but I cannot send any money. Why?

You can only send money to a friend or make a purchase if you have enough money deposited in the chosen currency. There is currently no possibility of a currency exchange inside the Buxter wallet. You can of course deposit money in all currencies offered by Buxter from the same ClickandBuy account.


Deposit / Withdrawal

How can I make a deposit into my wallet?

You can deposit money into your wallet account by clicking on the link under your account balance or by clicking on the Deposit/Withdraw tab. To deposit money into your account you first need to link your Buxter account to a ClickandBuy account.

You may be requested to first verify your ClickandBuy account and make sure you have enough funds on it. There are various ways of depositing money into your ClickandBuy account, depending on the country you live in. You will find all the relevant information simply by visiting your ClickandBuy account at www.clickandbuy.com or by visiting the ClickandBuy help pages.

Why is my deposit pending?

It can take several seconds for the money to be transferred from your ClickandBuy account to your Buxter account. Refresh your overview page after a short while and the status of the deposit will have changed.

Why is my deposit deleted?

The most common reason for your deposit having the status "deleted" is because there were not enough funds in your ClickandBuy account to make the transfer. Please first go to ClickandBuy and fund your account and then try again.

How can I withdraw money from my wallet?

In order to withdraw money from your Buxter account, you need to link your Buxter wallet to a ClickandBuy account. Then select “Withdraw” and the money will automatically be transferred into your ClickandBuy account. You can choose to leave the money in your ClickandBuy account, spend it online, or transfer it back to your bank account.

What payment method can I use to load my Buxter account?

You can only deposit money into your Buxter account by connecting your Buxter account to your ClickandBuy account. If you do not have a ClickandBuy account yet, Buxter will redirect you to the ClickandBuy homepage. Alternatively, you can register at www.clickandbuy.com.

In which currency can I deposit money into my wallet?

Buxter currently accepts Euros and US dollars.


Limits and Fees

Is Buxter free?

Buxter is generally free to use, but fees apply to certain transactions. Please refer to our Fee Table.

What are the limits at Buxter?

Can I increase my limits?

Buxter's sending and receiving limits are the same for all users. If you need to increase your limits, please contact us.


Password

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

In order to reset your password, please click on the "password forgotten" link. There you will be asked for a reply to your security question. After a successfully reply to the security question, you will receive an e-mail with a temporary password. After logging on using this password, please enter a new password by going to your settings, entering the temporary password in the field "old password", and then selecting a new password.

I have forgotten the answer to my security question. What should I do?

If you have forgotten the answer to your security question, please contact us, remembering to enter your e mail address to get an answer.


Donation Box

What is a Donation Box?

A Donation Box allows visitors to your profile to donate a fixed amount for a purpose as specified by you in the Donation Box setup. You can use your Donation Box to collect money for a party, for a friend’s birthday present, or for anything else. Users clicking on the DONATE link will be redirected to the Buxter application and then asked to confirm the donation. You’ll receive a notification every time someone makes a donation to your honourable cause.

How can I create a Donation Box?

You can create your Donation Box by going to the Applications tab and selecting the dedicated tab. Just select the amount, the currency, and give a good reason for requesting donations/a short description of the reason why you are requesting donations.

How can I make my Donation Box appear on my profile?

If you haven’t added the Donation Box yet, you’ll find the “Enable Donation Box on My Profile” check box in the Donation Box settings. Alternatively, under Facebook Account/Application Settings, select Edit Settings of Buxter to set up your Donation Box so it can appear on your Facebook Wall tab (Add). To complete the process, return to your Facebook Profile tab and select Boxes. Here you can now add your Donation Box to your Facebook Wall tab (Move to Wall tab).

What are My Applications?

As a Facebook developer, you can integrate Buxter into your application and generate revenue by selling certain pay functions or items.

What happens when I delete an application?

If you delete an application from your Buxter account, you will receive a final clearing. It will not possible to make any new API call from this application.

How can I see my deleted applications?

You can see your deleted applications in the Applications settings box with the status "terminated". You will still be able to see your revenues and clearing details.
